Media & Me

My first interaction with media use began at a young age, i started mainly using google, wikipedia and bing to look up information for homework. Having limited access to only one computer meant at that age my experience with the internet and media as a whole was very brief.
However as i grew older i began joining gaming sites such as club penguin, as well as signing up to my own email address. Through this i was able to chat to people using MSN and keep contact with friends talking to them in holidays and after school as well as keeping in contact with family from all over the world this new sense of freedom on the internet kept me on it regularly.
As i was reaching my last few years in primary school i received an ipod touch being only familiar with a small ipod i felt as though the ipod touch was a big technological trade up for me. I was able to access the internet quicker and more efficiently, as well as this i was able to download lots of games, watch videos on youtube and watch movies very easily.
As of right now the social media accounts i have include snapchat and Instagram, i also use whatsapp to message people as well as facetime and oovoo to videochat. although i only have a small number of social media accounts i use them quite frequently checking snapchat and Instagram at least 7 to 8 times a day. And my reliance on my social media accounts show the big role they play in my everyday life.
